Cosmo Films to install BOPP film production line from Brückner Maschinenbau
The German company said that Cosmo Films , an Indian manufacturer of packaging and label films, will install a new BOPP moving picture product line from Brückner Maschinenbau at its Aurangabad plant in a press release dated 17 Nov. The line is x.iv meters wide and has a production speed of 600 meters per infinitesimal.
Cosmo chief executive officer Pankaj Poddar says, "The new v-layer line for the manufacture of BOPP specialty films at our Aurangabad location will be the largest of its kind in the world and will let us to expand our sales within the specialty markets."
Chairman and managing director Ashok Jaipuria adds, "To get once again with our long-term partner Brückner is simply a logical step. We take been working together based on trust for many years and have successfully managed large projects. Cosmo Films had start announced near the new BOPP line in September this yr. The company had said that the line would require an investment of Rs 350 crore and will be funded through internal accruals.
Cosmo Films, established in 1981, is a global leader in specialty films for packaging, lamination, labeling, and synthetic paper. The product portfolio includes BOPP and CPP films, and soon BOPET films too. Today, the company is the largest exporter of BOPP films from India and the largest producer of thermal lamination films globally. Its customer base of operations is spread in more than 100 countries, with manufacturing units in Bharat, Korea, and Japan.
