Fast food while cutting
Hey how's it going guys,
Currently i am on a cut. I seriuosly have been following my strict diet daily . Having great nutritious breakfest, lunch and dinners.
Today i felt very fatigued after work and decided not to cook and ate me 2 slices of pizza that totaled 700 calories.
It fits my macros for the day and i NEVER eat fast food once i started my cut. I was just wondering if some fast food once in a while would be ok. Maybe once weekly , especially if it fits macros and all. I know all that "if it fits macros" is ok bs is not a great rule to follow but i was just wondering if once in a while would be fine .P.s i was dying for a slice or two of pizza. 😑

I work for Taco Bell. I ate there well into contest prep (granted, highly customized - Power Bowl with no rice and extra meat, pintos and cheese fresco with grilled chicken added, that type of thing). If it fits your macros, go for it.

Regardless of where your meals come from as long as you are close to your calorie goal you are good in terms of weight. Now you might be off in your macros and micros

You got to look at the big picture man. A little fast food here and there isn't a big deal. It may actually help you meet your goals in the long run. If you try to have a 'perfect' diet and slip up it can impact you psychologically and make you fall off the deep end. When you realize it doesn't ruin your diet to treat yourself every now and then it is easier to stay on track.

You are completely misjudging me (and granted I finished dead last in large part due to lack of size). But if it fits your macros, you can incorporate fast food into a healthy diet. And you can make very healthy choices at fast food restaurants. You're body doesn't know you're eating at a fast food joint. It only cares about the total nutrients you're putting into your body. Where can't you get a side salad nowadays? Or just order a kid's meal (one of my fav fast food hacks outside of my home restaurant)? Depriving yourself sets you up for a binge.Originally Posted by rhouston713

Thanks for the input man . Im starting to see by a lot of the posters here that fast food should not inhibit my goals in the end as long as i eat it moderately. And trust me i've been there psychologically. I love the assurance people give me here.Originally Posted by wake_me

So basically NO fast food at all while in a cut? Even if my cut is half a year long? Not one unhealthy thing at all?Originally Posted by Phoenix9369

Do you really think having the odd "unhealthy" meal is going to ruin your cut?Originally Posted by rhouston713

then its not fine. a strict diet should consist of only chicken brocoli and brown rice, nomsayin. if its for fat loss or weight gain, then it doesnt matter. watch calories and eat only fast food if you want. besides there are plenty of micronutrient dense whole foods which are still fast foodsOriginally Posted by rhouston713
